“What in the hell makes such noises!?” said my neighbors to the landlord.
And so it came to pass, since there were many health violation atrocities and quite a few other substandard living conditions he obviously didn’t give a shit about, he didn’t give a shit about such noises either.
And thus we…
So we have obtained a new member, Cuesta Verde mentioned below was contacted and recruited as circuit bending extraordinaire nuther one… Anyway he came out and made a bit of noise whilst Kevin and I did our usual bit and it was quite fun. Have a listen if ye have the faith!
Below:
Quite hard to manage into pleasant musical sounds however we find it rather fun to try or just allow it to be harsh and evil sounding and attempt to flow along, either way it’s mainly a hobby at this point and has become an essential outlet for the stresses of life.
I learned about circuit bending from an old roommate of mine who showed me how on some old toys, stuff from the 99 cent store and some guitar pedals he’d mutilated with new switches and dials that produced some amazing spacey noises, I was fascinated.
Since then I’ve found I seem to enjoy destroying old 80’s distortion pedals but haven’t actually soldered switches and the like, rather I just molest with my fingers or toes while I play the bass or guitar through ‘em. This makes it so you almost never get the exact same sounds but I’ve figured out how to get similar effects by placing my fingers or toes in the same general areas. I could add switches ‘n shit to make the same sounds over and over but actually using your skin to make the connections produces so much more expressive sounds and the exploration of circuit bending stays wide open every time.
Kevin does a good job of keeping an open mind and being a good sport to play drums along with these crazy noises, I’ve recently started using a looper pedal to make it a little easier to follow and we’ve had some good results in either case.

Well I circuit bent mine so you wouldn't get the same sounds...
Cool stuff. Hawkwind-like. I was wondering if you could turn...
